This is Eman. I am originally from Egypt. In 2017, I was lucky to join ITVET master program at Otto von Guericke University, Magdeburg, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany. This program is internationally goal oriented in the field of education and training. With an insight into the system of vocational education and training in Germany, this program helps me academically, as a teacher, develop the skills to:
Professionally, as a teacher, develop:
|
Bearing in mind what I have theoretically studied, throughout the past semesters, I was able to write my relevant thesis “Dealing with learning problems and learning difficulties in the effective acquisition of English as a foreign language within the framework of further Education among adults”. My ambitious is to apply for doctoral studies in Vocational education and training and personnel development. This program (ITVET) is highly recommended for teachers who seek professional development in educational consultancy, coordination and training.
Moreover, I would recommend interested international candidates to learn German as it makes life easier in the city and internships possible, during the study. I have learned German to the level B2 and that gives me the opportunity to find a job during my studies, as an English lecturer at Volkshochschule. This, in turn, helps me tremendously in writing my thesis, connecting theory with practice and making relevant interviews with fellow teachers and course participants.
The city of Magdeburg is green and calm. It is ideal for international students. Otto von Guericke University supports greatly international students with modern campus, wide range of language/sport courses, activities and free public transportation within the city.
Best of Luck

I am Dinesh Thapa from Nepal. In 2020, I have just completed my Masters of Science in International Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ITVET) from Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg, Germany. I am extremely happy to share you that the program is planned according to the UNESCO framework curriculum to equip international students to take the lead in Technical and Vocational Education. As per my experience, the ITVET program qualifies or trains one who would like to build their career in the leadership and cooperation of company training measures within initial and continuing vocational education in an international orientation. The program also offers adequate training and research in the - management of projects, - vocational educational policy development, - advisory positions and - in development jobs in the production of teaching aids. |
In addition to it, I did my masters thesis on the topic, “Challenges and Opportunities for Women in the Construction Sectors of Nepal” with proper guidance from my professors and administrative staffs. Now, I am preparing myself to seek an opportunity in the field of vocational education research and training. Further, I would like to continue my doctoral studies in the field of Vocational Education and Sustainable Development.
On top of all, the classes are held in an international student groups with real life activities. You can learn in peaceful, communicative, interactive and friendly environment with modern well equipped teaching technologies, aids and materials. Lecturers and administrative staffs are very friendly, helpful and cooperative and they give constructive feedback. You will get plenty of space for your personal and social development along with your study.
The University, Otto Von Guericke University is situated at the heart of Magdeburg, which is approximately 129 km far from Berlin, the capital city of Germany. The city is calm, peaceful and greenery. It is really ideal for international students with modern libraries, internet facilities, sports and student hostels.
